Concrete Countertop Industry Conference gets rave reviews.
November 20, 2006
Raleigh, NC – Over 200 attendees from 41 U.S. States including Hawaii, plus Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada and Denmark attended the 2006 Concrete Countertop Industry Conference (CCIC 2006) November 6-7, 2006 in Raleigh, NC.
Attendees and exhibitors alike raved about the conference. Attendees felt that the exhibits and seminars were very interesting and informative, and they were delighted with the networking they did with fellow attendees. Tom Fischer of Fishstone Studio, Inc. in Huntley, IL summed up attendees’ impressions:
“I am thrilled there is finally an event that focuses on the concrete countertop industry. From the seminars by industry leaders, to the hands on experience at the vendor booths, this conference was the place to be if you're in the concrete countertop business.”
Exhibitors commented that they had excellent conversations and that all attendees were very interested in their products. Because the event was so specifically targeted, all exhibitors received highly qualified sales leads. Doug Bannister, creator of the enCOUNTER Countertop System and exhibitor and sponsor at the event, says,
“The conference really exceeded our expectations with great speakers and a quality group of interested attendees. It was great to meet our customers from all across the country.”
Lane Mangum of The Concrete Countertop Institute, primary organizer for the event, says,
“We went all out with planning the facility, food, entertainment, transportation, signage, exhibits and seminars. Those things we could plan, but the networking we could not. Many attendees commented to me about the great networking they did, and I am thrilled that this turned out to be a big part of the value for attendees. I am also pleased that exhibitors found it such a valuable event. The caliber of the attendees was top notch – all serious businesspeople dedicated to success in concrete countertops – and the quality of the interactions among attendees and between attendees and exhibitors reflects that. Jeff [Girard, President of The Concrete Countertop Institute,] summed up the in this excerpt from his opening speech: ‘There wouldn’t be a conference at all without you, the attendees. You are the concrete countertop industry. You represent the future of concrete countertops.’ The success of the conference bodes well for the future of concrete countertops. I am already looking forward to CCIC 2007.”
