Expand your repertoire by learning to make the molds for ramp and vessel sinks, complex three-dimensional forms for fireplaces and water features. Learn mold making using rubber, fiberglass, foam and other techniques.

This class features two world-class instructors, Jeff Girard of CCI and Jeremy French of Mandala Design. Jeremy has over 10 years of experience with design of concrete elements, water features, decking and landscaping. His background of experimentation, creativity and design provides the perfect complement to Jeff's engineering background.

What will I learn?

Understand the challenges of making custom shapes and the broad selection of materials available. You will leave this class with the confidence to create the molds you need to be able to execute any three-dimensional shape you or your clients can dream up. You will know the answers to questions such as:

  • What's the best material to use?
  • How do I make a round shape?
  • Why would I use rubber instead of fiberglass?

You need this class in order to move from two-dimensional to three-dimensional projects.

This class is held approximately quarterly at The Concrete Countertop Institute's
training facility in Raleigh, NC.

  • The maximum numbers of students CCI can accept for this class is 16.
  • Tuition for the class is $1595. Tuition includes:
    • 3 days of instruction from 2 world-class instructors, Jeremy French and Jeff Girard. Class runs from 8:30am to 5:30pm each day.
    • No product sales pitch. CCI does not sell products - we tell you where to buy materials directly from the manufacturer.

*PREREQUISITE: This class assumes that you already know how to make concrete countertops. It does not teach templating, forming, reinforcing, coloring, grinding, installation or any other fundamentals of making concrete countertops. You must already know how to make concrete countertops, whether from taking a CCI Training class in the past or from your own experience. If you have not attended a CCI class, you MUST have at least 1 year of experience making concrete countertops as a business for paying customers. CCI reserves the right at its sole discretion to determine whether you are qualified to take the class.

Because only concrete countertop professionals may attend this class, anyone accepted for this class is qualified to join Concrete Connections. Consider joining before registering, and receive a discount on the tuition for this class.
