The first Concrete Decor Show, March 16 - 1, 2010 at the Phoenix Convention Center, was a huge success! Over a thousand attendees experienced seminars and workshops lead by the leading decorative concrete and concrete countertop trainers, including Jeff Girard of The Concrete Countertop Institute.
Jeff's 2-hour seminar, "Concrete Countertops: Getting it Right!" drew about 60 attendees and got great feedback as informative and helpful.

Jeff's 8-hour workshop, "The Next Generation Concrete Countertop", took 20 students through the entire process from forming to sealing in just 8 hours! The class created an 8-foot long gray GFRC concrete countertop with decorative features such as a drainboard with red stripe and red accent dots. The students got to see the difference between spraying and hand placing GFRC when the electrical power in the tent was insufficient to power the compressor, but other than that the workshop went smoothly and resulted in a fully sealed stain- and etch-resistant concrete countertop, as demonstrated with lemon slices placed on the countertop at the end.
