What will I learn?

This is the only engineering-based, comprehensive class for cast in place concrete countertops, taught by master instructor and professional engineer Jeff Girard.

During the 3-day class, you will perform every step of countertop-making hands on in a realistic mock kitchen with L shape, undermount sink hole and cantilever. We cover: forming without damaging cabinets, correct reinforcing, how to deal with faucet and sink holes (including undermount sinks), proper curing to prevent cracks, finishing for a smooth, beautiful surface, and high-performance sealing.

Graduates receive a comprehensive written textbook on how to make cast in place concrete countertops. Each successful graduate also receives a diploma that shows he or she is a Concrete Countertop Institute Graduate, giving your clients confidence that you know what you are doing.

Classes are held approximately quarterly at The Concrete Countertop Institute's training facility in Raleigh, NC.
